The Melasti Beach Resort is a near beachfront hotel spread over 2 hectares of tropical gardens. The hotel has two distinct types of accommodation. The original rooms are built in two storey buildings set in the garden nearby the beach. The new rooms, close to the lobby are built around the hotels O-shaped pool which in itself is unique as the water will float you around in a clockwise direction – perfect for those lazy Sunday afternoons. The superior and suite rooms are all spacious and comfortable. The newer rooms are of course more modern in design and facilities. Both the old and new rooms have advantages and some of those that frequently stay at the Melasti often opt for the old rooms. The suite rooms have a semi-screened off living room which make it handy for families of 2 adults and 2 children who want to share one room.

This is a place well suited for families.I stayed in the old suites with just 1 other and loved the huge space we had.Our balcony looked out over the gardens and the ocean.I think the new suites are a lot smaller. The food however was not good here, but that's no problem as it is in a great location. Very good value for money, but I prefer a place with not quite so many noisy kids with b.b guns.

Excellent hotel. Good facilities, nice quiet safe location. Staff and holiday makers were all friendly. Lots of good places for food around the area as well as good places for massage etc.

I loved staying there we go back to the same hotel every year and the staff remember us and are really friendly... meet lots of differnet people.. great atmosphere. Great close to the beach if you are a surfer. lots of aussys. just all round great fun recomend it 10 out of 10 :)

Supposed to be 3 star but definitely 4 due to staff. They remember me every year (probably by reputation) and always bend over backward to help. Reception staff could learn to smile but everyone else is great. Food is decidedly average but never been crook eating there! Plenty of local bars and restaurants...Sana restaurant for dinner and Tommy's for lunch highly recommended! Will update again after this year's trip.
