Just got back from a wonderful trip in Bali. My third time there but first at the jayakarta. The hotel was awesome. The staff were so friendly even security!!! I would definately stay there again. The pool facilities were great. The breakfasts were good but I think it was the staff that made my stay so great. The restaurant just out of the Jayakarta called the Flying Piano was awesome great arak attacks

Hi Grant thought I would let others know what an awesome time we had in bali thanks to you from the cost and the hotel you booked for us. We stayed at the jayakarta which was awsome the people were so friendly and the pools and gym were great. Breakfast there was a huge selection. The rooms were nice and clean and so close to the pool and beach. The location of the jayakarta is awesome so much to do and only a 10 min walk along the beach to poppies. Went to the flying piano (out the front of jayakarta and then turn left) about 5 times for dinner enjoyed the band that comes and sings at your table ended up dancing on the tables a couple of nights. Thanks again cant wait to get back in October going by myself so staying at cheaper accomodation so will send a review of it when i get back.

Our family of five (2 adults & 3 children aged 11, 8 & 6yrs) traveled to Bali in July / August 2003 and stayed in a private 2 bedroom apartment at the 'A' Residence of the Hotel Jayakarta. This was organised for us by Andrew of bali.co.nz and it was FANTASTIC! The apartment included a well equipped kitchen, dining area (with lovely teak table & 6 chairs), lounge (with TV / DVD), 2 bedrooms (with TV / DVD in the Master and a TV in the second) and 2 bathrooms. The apartment was beautifully decorated and being a private apartment had nicer than average furniture / décor and included all those little ‘extras’ you don’t get in a hotel room like a kids night light in the bathroom and NZ adaptor plugs in the power sockets! Also the water cooler in our room was kept full all the time so we didn’t need to buy water. A private cleaner came in daily and the apartment was kept absolutely spotless. The apartments are located a short walk from the pool area however we didn’t find this to be a problem (actually this meant we were closer to the shops !!!) All in all we really enjoyed the location and facilities of the Hotel Jayakarta and would definitely stay there again. The only negative we can come up with is the sheer size of the property did mean it felt quite impersonal compared to smaller hotels we'd stayed at in the past however for a family we'd give it A+. PS Skip the breakfasts at the Jayakarta - we choose not to pay extra for these and this was a good decision as the local restaurants have much better selections at much more reasonable prices!
